Current collectors
Vossloh Kiepe’s current collectors (trolleys and pantographs) reliably route electricity from the overhead line to the vehicle. The OSA current collectors are in use around the globe and are exposed to a broad variety of climatic and infrastructure conditions. They resist the most punishing mechanical loads.
The OSA series is based on a modular system that allows the current
collector to adapt to widely different conditions. Thanks to our
longstanding experience and innovative ideas, the new OSA current
collector series is remarkable for its very low wear and reduced load
on the overhead wire. All system components are matched to each other
and optimized to ensure ultimate reliability.
Optionally available are current collectors with pneumatic
quick-lowering unit, automatic re-setting and an automatic overhead
wire engagement device. These efficient mechanisms can be operated from
the driver’s seat by pressing a button to allow rapid response under
hazardous situations.
