Belgrade: Traction kits for 30 vehicles

Vossloh Kiepe has received another order from CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) for the delivery of traction kits for 30 vehicles for Belgrade’s tramway network founded back in 1892. The vehicles will be shipped out between February 2011 and August 2012.

The equipment supplied by Vossloh Kiepe includes not only traction containers and brake resistors, but also the on-board power system supply inclusive of battery charging. The 32.36 meter long and 2.3 meter wide, modern five-section mono-directional vehicle is driven by eight motors. Two motors are combined to form a twin motor which accelerates the vehicle to up to 70 km/h.
